Lofi Girl: 4 A.M. Chill Session
Artwork for the Lofi Girl Channel, made back in 2022.
Got quite a bit of freedom on this with a general aesthetic as direction, collaborating with Lofi Studio on the foundation for the design of Synthwave Boy's living room.
For me personally this project was also a workflow test to see how much of the painting process I could do in blender before moving to photoshop for final touches.

The style was very specific on where light happened and required a lot of highlights on edges and tons of iterations. In the end a total of 110 lights and various shadow catchers and bounce panels were used to get the look.
To make life a bit easier I built node setups for quick variants on the CD's, Casette tapes (with case, missing the lid, missing the case) and a simple array variation system for the books on the shelves.
